| Peter K. Wayne, MD, PhD | Dr. Wayne studied biochemistry at Harvard College before going to Yeshiva University and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine to earn a PhD in Molecular Biology and an MD degree. His medical internship and residency were performed at Montefiore Medical Center, after which he studied gastroenterology and liver disease in a research and clinical program jointly run by the Bronx VA Medical Center and the Mt Sinai Hospital. Dr. Wayne is a past President of the New York Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the former President of the Medical Staff of St. Joseph's Medical Center in Yonkers, New York. Currently he is the Chief of Gastroenterology at St. Joseph's Medical Center and St. John's Riverside Hospital, both in Yonkers. His special interests are liver disease and biliary and pancreatic disorders. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and has been in practice over 25 years. |
| Orest J. Kozicky, MD | Dr. Kozicky was an undergraduate at University of Pennsylvania before attending medical school at New York Medical College. His medical internship and residency were at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, where he was chosen to be Chief Medical Resident. He studied gastroenterology at Montefiore Medical Center before joining Dr. Wayne in private practice. Dr. Kozicky is a former Chief of Gastroenterology at St. John's Riverside Hospital and is on the Medical Board of St. John's. Dr. Kozicky is widely recognized for his civic spirit and philanthropic medical relief efforts. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and has been practicing with Dr. Wayne for over 20 years. |
| Mitchell E. Auerbach, MD | Dr. Auerbach earned his undergraduate degree at Tufts University in Massachusetts (1986), and his medical degreee at Tufts University Medical School in Boston (1991). He completed his internship, internal medicine residency and his gastroenterology fellowship all at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City (1991-1996). He has a special interest in inflammatory bowel diseases and wireless video capsule endoscopy. He is on the Medical Board of St. Joseph's Medical Center. Dr. Auerbach is an avid runner and has participated in the Long Island, Philadelphia, and New York City Marathons. Dr. Auerbach was board certified in Internal Medicine in 1994 and is currently board certified in Gastroenterology. He has been in practice with Dr. Wayne and Dr. Kozicky for more than 10 years. |
